We are currently seeking a skilled Lighting and Sound Technician to join our Florida tour. The ideal candidate has working knowledge of both lighting and live sound operations and thrives in a fast-paced touring environment under the Big Top.

About the Role

Lighting is pre-designed and programmed using ETC EOS, with all cues integrated into QLab. You will not be responsible for programming, but will need to refocus lighting at the start of each location and ensure equipment is show-ready.

The production includes one live singer and four performers with microphones. The technician must have experience with live mixing using a Midas M32R board and be comfortable balancing vocals and playback during performances.

This is a touring position. Accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities

Operate and run all lighting and sound cues for performances

Conduct daily sound/microphone checks

Refocus lighting and test all systems at each new location

Complete post-show duties: power down, secure, and store all equipment

Load in and load out lighting and sound equipment for each location

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively

Compensation & Details

Compensation based on experience - $1,200 - $1,500 weekly pay

Requirements

  • Qualifications


    Working knowledge of Midas M32R LIVE 40-channel Digital Mixer


    Familiarity with ETC EOS is a plus


    QLab proficiency required


    Strong understanding of live sound mixing and EQ for multiple microphones and a live singer


    Ability to follow and update cue sheets accurately


    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work calmly under pressure


    Physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs


    Motivated, punctual, and dependable
